About. This is the section I don’t want to write. What do I tell you about myself? How do I sum myself up?
So, let’s start with education. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology and Near Eastern Studies from Wheaton College and a paralegal certification. I studied seven languages by the time I was married and love Shakespeare, which is almost like a foreign language to many people. That did help when translating A Compleat Body of Divinity into modern English.
I’ve been married for more than thirty years. I met my husband in Japan on a one year mission trip with TEAM. He’s my souvenir. We have a daughter, who is amazing. Add to that an ancient and creaky Labrador and two cats.
I attend a Messianic Jewish congregation in the suburbs of Chicago. Here Gentiles and Jews worship the God of Israel together through the promised Messiah, Yeshua (Jesus). An understanding of the Jewish roots of our faith enriches it and helps us to better understand the amazing breadth and depth of God’s justice, mercy and love. It influences me for the better. Hopefully, I can share some of that with you.
